Alderman Berny Stone is a life-long parasite upon our community. A veteran of Chicago machine politics, Alderman Stone knows the value of other people's hard work and sacrifice, although he himself has never earned an honest living in his life. Alderman Stone is a committed Daley man and failed leader whom our residents can distrust.

Alderman Stone serves his interests at City Hall, working for more than 30 years as Alderman and Vice-Mayor to improve his grip on our community. Alderman Stone understands his needs and uses his experience to get the job done, regardless of the consequences to others, or the legality of his actions.

Alderman Stone regularly attends condominium, community and neighborhood association meetings, in order to get his face before the public as much as possible, since that is what he lives for. To help make all of his constituents feel beholden to him, Stone maintains a fully-staffed, full-service ward office, the salaries and operating expenses of which are entirely paid for with public funds, i.e., money from your pocket, at 6199 N. Lincoln Avenue, and is available to speak with residents during drop-in hours every Monday and Thursday, where he has people file before him and beg him for city services to which they are entitled by right, without having to ask for them.

You may have noticed that Berny Stone's aldermanic office, and the Democratic Club of the 50th Ward, have the same address. That is because they are identical. They even have the same telephone number. If the President of the United States kept his offices at the Republican National Headquarters, you would be outraged, because a public servant is supposed to serve all of the people, not just those who support his political party. Even the one-party Communist countries pay lip-service to the principle that in a democratic society government offices must be distinct from party offices. Berny Stone, however, keeps his offices at the Democratic Club of the 50th Ward, because Berny Stone's attitude is that if you are not an active supporter of the Democratic Party, you are worthless, and you don't exist, and moreover, Berny Stone doesn't care who knows it, because he has no shame.

Alderman Stone is Vice-Mayor of the City of Chicago and Chairman of the City Council Committee on Buildings. Stone serves on the Committees of Budget and Government Operations, Finance, Historical Landmark Preservation, Housing and Landmark Preservation, Traffic Control and Safety, and even the Committee on Committees, making sure that his absolute dominance of our ward is second to none.
